Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former Badgers players who continue their career in pro basketball.
Especially interesting is good performance of Nathan Reuvers (15 points), D'Mitrik Trice (19 points), and Markus Ilver (16 points).
#1. In the recent match between Valencia Basket and Real Madrid, Nathan Reuvers, a 6'11'' power forward who graduated from Wisconsin in 2021 and currently plays professionally in Spain, showcased his skills as a champion player. Despite his impressive performance as the top scorer with 15 points in just 19 minutes, Valencia Basket suffered a defeat to the lower-ranked Real Madrid, with a final score of 90-105 on the road. Reuvers, with an average of 10.4 points per game and 3.3 rebounds per game in the 44 games he has played this year, has been a notable player for Valencia Basket. Even though he demonstrated his capabilities as a finalist player by scoring 15 points against Real Madrid, unfortunately, his team could not secure a victory in the game. It is worth noting that Reuvers is a naturalized American player who continues to make valuable contributions to his team in the Spanish league.
#2. D'Mitrik Trice, a 6'0'' point guard and 30-year-old Badgers alumni from the class of 2021, is currently playing professionally in Bosnia. Despite his notable performance, Trice could not assist Siroki (24-6) in their recent game. In a tough matchup against the second-ranked Igokea in the Winners Stage group, the first-placed Siroki suffered a 90-104 loss in Aleksandrovac. Trice stood out as the top scorer of the game, contributing 19 points along with 4 assists and 3 steals in 32 minutes of play. This season marks Trice's debut with the team, and he continues to showcase his talent with impressive individual statistics. Across 25 games, he boasts an average of 15.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game. Despite his strong personal performance, Trice's team fell short in their recent matchup, unable to secure the victory against Igokea.
#3. Estonian basketball player Markus Ilver, standing at 6'9'' and 24 years old, completed his education at Wisconsin in 2025 and received the prestigious Big Ten All-Sportsmanship Team award in the same year. Currently, he is showcasing his talent as a professional player in Estonia. In a recent game, Ilver unfortunately couldn't lead his team, Tartu (2-5), to victory as they faced off against the formidable Kalev/Cramo, the current champion of the league. Despite his commendable performance where he scored 16 points, secured 4 rebounds, and executed 2 blocks in 31 minutes of play, Tartu fell short with a final score of 77-83 on their home court. Ilver's impressive display on the court is noteworthy, especially considering that this is his debut season in professional basketball. Although his individual efforts were notable, the champion was unable to clinch a win for his team against the reigning finalist. Ilver's consistent performance throughout the season is reflected in his solid statistics, averaging 12.2 points per game and 7.1 rebounds per game, ranking him as the fourth-best rebounder in the league. With his talent and dedication, Ilver continues to make a significant impact in the Estonian basketball scene, promising a bright future ahead.
#4. Ethan Happ, a 6'10'' center and 30-year-old Badgers alum from 2019, currently playing professionally in Spain, recently competed in a crucial game for his team, Longevida San Pablo Burgos, against Joventut in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Despite his efforts, Happ could not lead his team to victory against the formidable Joventut, who emerged as the champion with a 86-79 win over Happ's team. In the game, Happ's performance was notable as he managed to contribute 2 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists in 22 minutes of play. Although he put up a solid effort, the final result did not favor his team. This game may not be remembered as one of his best performances due to the outcome. With only one more game left in the Regular Season, Happ's team faces a critical situation. Happ has shown consistent performance throughout the season, averaging 12.8 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game (ranking third best in the league), 2.0 assists per game, and leading the league with 1.8 steals per game in the 24 games he has played so far. It is worth noting that Ethan Happ, a naturalized American player, continues to showcase his skills and contribute to his team's efforts in the competitive Spanish Liga Endesa, despite the recent setback against Joventut, the finalist of the match.
#5. Chris Vogt, a 7'0'' center who is 27 years old and graduated from Wisconsin in 2022, is currently playing professionally in Venezuela. Recently, he played a crucial role in Guaiqueries' impressive victory over the closely-ranked Trotamundos with a score of 75-64 in the Venezuelan Superliga Profesional de Baloncesto. Despite playing limited minutes, Vogt managed to contribute 7 points and 3 rebounds, aiding his team in securing the champion title of the game. Guaiqueries de Margarita, currently placed fourth in the league with a record of 15-9, has been benefitting from Vogt's performances. In the game against Trotamundos, Vogt's impact was evident as he helped lead his team to success. Throughout the season, Vogt has been averaging 2.9 points per game and 2.6 rebounds per game in the eight games he has played so far. Chris Vogt's presence on the court has been instrumental in Guaiqueries' journey in the league, showcasing his skills and determination to contribute to his team's success as they strive to become the finalist in the upcoming matches.
