Guam beat Northern Mariana Islands to claim title in Mangilao

Guam earned Gold at the 2022 Micronesian Cup. They fired past Northern Mariana Islands to secure the top position. Guam dominated from start to finish. They recorded a 20-12 lead after ten minutes. Guam followed with a 22-6 run in the second term to secure a 42-18 halftime advantage. Guam held their opponents to just 19 points in the second half and raced to a comfortable win at the end. Mia San-Nicolas (180-C-2001) delivered 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Elysia Perez (163-G-2000) had 15 points for Guam. E'Anna Won (170-G-2001) answered with 16 points and 13 rebounds for Northern Mariana Islands.

3-4 Place

Palau - Micronesia 79-35
Palau earned the third position in Mangilao. They beat Micronesia to ensure the spot on the pedestal. Sweety Kalbesang (G-1991) scored 20 points to lead the winners. Palau established a 39-15 halftime lead. They followed with a 40-20 run in the second half to seal the win. Kristen Sugiyama (2002) tossed in 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Palau. Jilda Lemangmai (163-F-1998) answered with 10 points for Micronesia.
