Guam celebrate title in Mangilao

Guam clinched 2022 Micronesian Cup title. They stormed past Palau in the Final tonight. Guam recorded a 27-6 lead after ten minutes. They sank 31 points in the second quarter to open a comfortable 35-point halftime lead. Guam followed with a 26-6 rally in the fourth term to race to the victory. Ben Borja (203-F/C-1998) came up with 23 points and 9 rebounds, while Mark Johnson (198-F-1992) added 14 points and 11 rebounds for Guam. Jerry Ngiraremiang (170-PG-2002) tossed in 12 points for Palau.

3-4 Place

Northern Mariana Islands - Micronesia 82-78
Northern Mariana Islands claimed the third position at the 2022 Micronesian Cup. They overcame Micronesia in the consolation final today. Chioni Dela (183-SG-2002) was unstoppable with 32 points to pace the winners. Coby Santos (183-PG-2000) tallied 17 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists for Northern Mariana Islands. Micronesia led by a single point at halftime 33-32. But Northern Mariana Islands responded with a 33-28 run in the fourth term to seal the victory. AJ Bisalen (185-C-1992) answered with 22 points and 14 rebounds for Micronesia.
