Toeaina is back at Kouvot

Kouvottaret (Korisliiga) agreed terms with 27-year old American Samoan-American ex-international power forward Sarah Toeaina (185cm-1996, college: Hawaii) for upcoming 2023-24 season. It is actually her comeback to Kouvottaret as she has played here before. Toeaina played this summer at Mandurah Magic in Australian West. In 23 NBL One South games just recently she had very impressive stats: 18.6ppg, 5.9rpg, 3.0apg and 1.5spg. The last season she was tested by Esperides in Greek A1 where in only one game she recorded also remarkable stats: 16 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block.
She represented American Samoa at the Pacific Games in Apia (Samoa) four years ago. Her team won Gold and her stats at that event were 5 games: Score-3 (21.2ppg), 8.2rpg, 1.4apg, 1.8spg, FGP-2 (62.0%), 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 81.4%.
Toeaina has played previously professionally in Sweden (Sodertalje) and United Kingdom (Hatters).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she played in the final of Finnish League in 2022. She was voted to Eurobasket.com Finnish League All-Imports Team in 2021.
Toeaina graduated from University of Hawaii in 2018 and it will be her sixth season as a professional player.
