Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former Rainbow Warriors players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Amy Atwell (6'0''-G/F-1998, played in 2018-22, plays pro in Australia) could not help Perth Lynx (3-1) in their last game. Despite her good performance Perth Lynx was edged94-92 on the road by the lower-ranked (#4) Southside Flyers. Atwell recorded 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 31 minutes. It was Perth Lynx's first loss after three consecutive victories. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Atwell's first year with the team. She has relatively good stats this season 11.8ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.3spg in four games she played so far.
#2. Mackenzie Clinch-Hoycard (6'3''-F-1998, played in 2015-19, plays in Australia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Amy Atwell. But that was another game of her team in Australian WNBL which we would like to mention. Clinch-Hoycard contributed to a Perth Lynx's victory against one of league's weakest teams Bendigo Spirit (0-4) 86-76. She scored 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Perth Lynx (3-1) is placed second in the WNBL. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. This season Clinch-Hoycard averages 7.0ppg, 2.5rpg, 1.3apg and 1.8spg.
#3. Sarah Toeaina (6'1''-F/C-1996, played in 2014-18, currently in Finland) was not able to help Kouvottaret in their game against Marsky Helsinki (4-5) in the Finnish Korisliiga, despite her very good performance in Friday night's game. She was the second best scorer with 13 points. Toeaina also added 7 rebounds in 28 minutes. It was her first game for Kouvottaret this season. But the bottom-ranked Kouvottaret lost 64-77 in Helsinki to the higher-ranked (#5) Marsky. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Toeaina's first year with the team. She is a naturalized American Samoan.
