#1. Mikayla Cowling, a 6'2'' forward who graduated from California in 2018 and received the All-Pac Honorable Mention award that year, is currently playing professionally in Turkey. Recently, she led her team, Turgutlu, to a significant victory over the closely-ranked Kirklareli with a score of 60-50 in the Turkish TKBL (second division) last Wednesday. Cowling's outstanding performance in the game earned her the MVP title, as she achieved a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds, along with 4 steals, all within 40 minutes of play. This game was highly anticipated as it featured two top 4 ranked teams in the league, with Turgutlu Belediyespor Manisa (23-5) holding the third position. The victory marked her team's 14th consecutive win, showcasing their dominance in the league. Cowling's exceptional contribution against Kirklareli, where she not only scored points and grabbed rebounds but also provided 2 assists, played a pivotal role in securing the win for her team. Her remarkable performance on the court granted her the prestigious Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com, highlighting her as a champion player in the game. Throughout the season, Cowling has maintained impressive statistics, averaging 14.4 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.6 steals per game in the 22 games she has played so far. Her consistent performance and valuable contributions undoubtedly establish her as a finalist player to watch in the league.
