Especially interesting is good performance of Breein Tyree (18 points), Luis Rodriguez (10 points), and Josh Mballa (14 points).
#1. Breein Tyree, a 6'2'' guard who graduated from Ole Miss in 2020 and received the USBWA All-District IV Team award that year, is currently playing professionally in Greece. In a recent game, despite his stellar performance, Tyree was unable to lead his team, PAOK (17-7), to victory against the second-ranked Panathinaikos. The final score was 102-114 in favor of Panathinaikos. Tyree showcased his skills by scoring 18 points, providing 6 assists, and playing for 37 minutes as the top scorer for PAOK. Despite his impressive individual performance, PAOK was unable to secure the win. Throughout the season, Tyree has maintained high statistics, averaging 16.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game in the 20 games he has played so far. His consistent contributions on the court demonstrate his value as a key player for PAOK, even in the face of challenging matchups against strong opponents like Panathinaikos.
#2. Panamanian Luis Rodriguez, a 6'6'' guard at 27 years old, and a Runnin' Rebels alumni from 2024, showcased his skills in a recent game in the Brazilian Novo Basquete Brasil league. Despite having played at Ole Miss between 2018 and 2022, he is now a key player for Sesi/Franca Sao Paulo in Brazil. In a highly anticipated match against Pinheiros, Rodriguez's impressive performance contributed significantly to his team's 82-73 victory. Scoring 10 points and grabbing 4 rebounds in just 19 minutes of play, he demonstrated his value on the court. The game was a clash between two top 4 ranked teams, with Sesi/Franca Sao Paulo currently leading the league with a record of 32-6. This win marked their tenth consecutive victory, highlighting their dominance in the competition. Rodriguez's consistent contributions have been instrumental in his team's success this season, with an average of 9.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.1 steals per game in 40 appearances. His performance against Pinheiros exemplified his skill and determination, ultimately leading his team to victory and securing his status as the champion in the game. His impressive stats and impact on the court have solidified his position as a key player for Sesi/Franca Sao Paulo and a standout finalist in the league.
#3. Josh Mballa, a 26-year-old 6'7'' forward who graduated from Ole Miss in 2023 and currently plays professionally in France, showcased his skills by leading Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez to a decisive 90-72 victory over Entente Orleans 45 in the French ELITE 2 league last Wednesday. In this highly anticipated matchup between two top 4 teams, Mballa emerged as the standout player and was named the MVP of the game. During the game, Mballa delivered a stellar performance, scoring 14 points, providing 3 assists, and making 4 steals in just 22 minutes of play. This remarkable display of talent is particularly impressive considering that he is only in his third season of professional basketball. Notably, this win marked his team's third consecutive victory, further solidifying their position as a top contender in the league. With Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez holding the second spot in the league standings with a record of 26-12, Mballa's contributions on the court have been instrumental to their success this season. His stats for the year, averaging 7.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game across 26 matchups, demonstrate his consistent impact and versatility as a player. It is also noteworthy that Mballa holds dual American and French citizenship, allowing him to compete in France as a domestic player, thus further enhancing his value to his team. In this game, he proved his worth by leading his team to victory as the champion, showcasing his potential to become an even greater force in the league.
#4. Lithuanian champion Justas Furmanavicius, a 31-year-old forward standing at 6'7'' and an alum of Rebels from 2018, who currently plays professionally in Lithuania, was unable to lead Lietkabelis (15-17) to victory in their recent match. Despite his commendable performance, Lietkabelis fell short, losing 93-103 on the road to the formidable Zalgiris team. Furmanavicius showcased his skills on the court by scoring 10 points and grabbing 4 rebounds in 26 minutes of play against Zalgiris. Despite his contributions, his team suffered their third consecutive loss. #5. Jarkel Joiner, a 6'1'' guard who is 27 years old and graduated from NC State in 2023 but played for Ole Miss from 2019 to 2022, showcased his talent in the recent game for the Vancouver Bandits (5-2) against the Ottawa Blackjacks. Despite Joiner's exceptional performance, where he emerged as the top scorer with 25 points, contributed 5 rebounds, and made 3 assists during his 33 minutes on the court, the Vancouver team suffered a 105-114 defeat. This game marked the Vancouver Bandits' first loss after securing four consecutive victories. Joiner's impressive individual performance against Ottawa highlighted his skills and potential in the pro basketball scene, especially considering it is only his third season in the league. Despite the setback, Joiner's stats for the season so far speak for themselves, with an average of 18.8 points per game, 2.8 rebounds per game, and 3.0 assists per game in the four games played. As the season is still in its early stages, there is ample opportunity for Joiner and the Vancouver Bandits to bounce back from this loss and continue striving towards their goal of becoming champions.

In this particular game, Davis played a vital role in his team's 110-100 victory over the River Lions, despite scoring only 2 points in 11 minutes on the court.
