#1. Experienced Mikaela Ruef (6'3''-F-1990, played in 2009-14, plays pro in Australia) led Logan Thunder to a victory over the eighth-ranked Salties (10-9) 74-67 in the Australian NBL One (second division) in Sunday night's game. She was MVP of the game. Ruef had a double-double by scoring 31 points and getting 21 rebounds. She also added 5 assists and 3 steals in 40 minutes. Logan Thunder (13-4) is placed second in North group. It was her team's ninth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Ruef has individually a very good year with high stats. She averages 22.5ppg, 21.6rpg, 5.2apg and 1.8spg in 12 games she played so far.
#2. Haley Jones (6'1''-G-2001, graduated '2023, plays in the WNBA) contributed to an easy victory against the Los Angeles Sparks (7-12) crushing them 112-84 in the WNBA last Sunday. Jones recorded 9 points and added 5 assists. The Atlanta Dream has 10-8 record this season. It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. This season Jones averages 4.7ppg, 2.9rpg and 3.2apg.
#3. Alanna Smith (6'4''-F-1996, played in 2015-19, currently in the WNBA), who plays in the WNBA could not help the Chicago Sky (8-11) to beat the Atlanta Dream (10-8). She recorded 9 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 24 minutes. But the Chicago Sky (#5) lost 68-82 on the road to the Dream. This year Smith averages 10.0ppg, 6.6rpg, 1.9apg, 1.6bpg and 1.2spg in 19 games.
#4. Karlie Samuelson (6'0''-G/F-1995, played in 2013-17, plays pro in the WNBA) faced previously mentioned Haley Jones in the WNBA last game. Samuelson was not able to help the Los Angeles Sparks in their game against the Atlanta Dream (10-8). She recorded 6 points. The Los Angeles Sparks (#4) were crushed112-84 in Atlanta by the Dream. It was Sparks' fifth consecutive loss in a row. This season Samuelson averages 7.8ppg, 2.2rpg and 1.7apg. She is a naturalized British.
#5. Sarah Boothe (6'5''-F/C-1990, played in 2008-09, plays in Australia) was the major contributor in a Dandenong Rangers' surprising victory against the leader Knox Raiders (16-4) 79-62 in the Australian NBL One (second division) last Sunday. She had a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 10 rebounds. Boothe also added 3 blocks in 29 minutes. Dandenong Rangers (10-11) are placed tenth in South group. Her team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Boothe has relatively good stats this year 14.0ppg, 7.9rpg, 2.5apg and 1.4bpg in 21 games.
