Every week we bring you a list of the top former Cardinals players who continue their career in pro basketball.
Notice impressive performance of C.J. Turnage (15 points), Caleb Davis (18 points), and James Toohey (17 points).

#1. C.J. Turnage, a 6'7'' forward who graduated from SVSU in 2017 and earned the All-GLIAC First Team award that year, currently plays professionally in Australia. In a recent game, despite his notable performance, he was unable to lead Joondalup City Wanneroo Wolves to a victory against the higher-ranked Eagles. Turnage displayed his skills by scoring 15 points, securing 8 rebounds, making 6 assists, and contributing 3 steals in 31 minutes of play. Although the Wolves were defeated, it is still early in the season, and there is potential for improvement and success. Turnage has been a standout player individually this season, averaging impressive statistics of 19.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. His consistent contributions on the court show his dedication and talent, making him a key player for his team.

#2. Australian Caleb Davis, a 6'9'' forward and 30-year-old Cardinals alumnus from 2017, currently playing professionally in Australia, showcased his talent in a recent Australian NBL One game. As a member of the Joondalup City Wanneroo Wolves, he played alongside teammate C.J. Turnage in a match against the 11th-ranked Cougars. Davis led his team to a convincing 102-80 victory, demonstrating his prowess on the court. In this game, he was named the MVP, scoring 18 points and securing 4 rebounds in 28 minutes of play. The Joondalup City Wanneroo Wolves, with a record of 3-1, hold the fifth position in the West group, thanks in part to Davis' stellar performance. This win marked the team's third consecutive victory, highlighting their strong form in the competition. Davis has been a key player for his team this season, averaging 13.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game, showcasing his consistent contribution to the Wolves' success. In the game against the Cougars, Davis exemplified the qualities of a champion, leading his team to victory with his impressive performance. His skills and dedication have been instrumental in the Wolves' recent success, solidifying his position as a key player in the team's lineup.

#3. Australian James Toohey, a 6'2'' guard at 27 years old, who graduated from SVSU in 2020 and currently plays professionally in Australia, was a key player in the Canberra Gunners' recent victory against the third-ranked Hawks with a score of 105-95 in the Australian NBL One, the second division league, on Saturday night. Toohey showcased his talent by contributing 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks in just 25 minutes of play. This game was a highly anticipated matchup between two top 3 ranked teams in the East group, with the Canberra Gunners (3-0) currently holding the second position in the standings. Toohey's team has been performing exceptionally well this season, winning all three games in the Regular Season so far. As a seasoned member of the team, this marks Toohey's fourth season with the Gunners. In a standout performance against Illawarra Hawks, Toohey not only scored an impressive 17 points but also added 6 rebounds and 1 assist to his stat line, proving to be instrumental in leading his team to victory. His exceptional performance underscores his abilities as a finalist player and demonstrates his crucial role in securing wins for his team. Throughout the season, Toohey has maintained solid statistics with an average of 14.0 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game, and 2.0 assists per game, further solidifying his reputation as a champion player in the league.

#4. Dutch player Nick Thran, a 6'2'' guard who is 25 years old and an alumnus of the Cardinals from 2021, currently plays professionally in Holland. Recently, he played a significant role in Den Helder's unexpected triumph over the eighth-ranked Circus Brussels with a final score of 90-77 in the BNXT League on Sunday night. Despite being placed 14th in the league with an 11-17 record, Den Helder Suns managed to secure their third consecutive victory, thanks in part to Thran's contributions on the court. Thran, who is in his fifth season with the team, showcased his skills against Brussels by scoring 6 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and providing 2 assists during the game. His stellar performance was crucial in ensuring the team's success and ultimately led them to be crowned as the champion.
