We bring you last week's top former Golden Panthers players who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Puerto Rican Ariel Colon, a 5'10'' guard who graduated from FIU in 2022 and received the All-C-USA Honorable Mention award that year, currently plays professionally in the UPSHOT league. In a recent game, she helped lead the Savannah Steel to a victory over the Greensboro Groove with a score of 85-67. Despite only scoring 4 points in 8 minutes on the court, her contribution was crucial to the team's success. The match was a highly anticipated showdown between two top 4 ranked teams, showcasing intense competition. Despite the Savannah Steel holding a somewhat weak 1-3 record this season, it's important to note that the season is still in its early stages, leaving room for improvement and unexpected outcomes. Against the Greensboro Groove, Colon demonstrated her skills by scoring 4 points, grabbing 1 rebound, and providing 1 assist, ultimately securing the win for her team. Her standout performance highlighted her as a true champion on the court, displaying qualities of determination and skill that are essential for success in professional basketball. Throughout this season, Colon has been averaging 2.3 points per game, steadily contributing to her team's efforts. It is also noteworthy that she holds dual American and Puerto Rican citizenship, allowing her to play in Puerto Rico as a domestic player, further showcasing her versatility and dedication to the sport.
