#1. Experienced champion Pierre Jackson, a 5'11'' guard at 34 years old, graduated from Baylor in 2013. He previously played at S.Idaho JC between 2010 and 2011, where he received the NJCAA D1 All-Tournament MVP award. Currently playing professionally in Egypt, Jackson recently led Al Ittihad Alexandria to a decisive 91-80 victory over the second-ranked Al Ahly Cairo in the Egyptian Superleague. In this crucial game between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-8, Al Ittihad Alexandria (14-1) emerged as the victor, with Jackson being named the game's MVP for his outstanding performance. Scoring 25 points and dishing out 5 assists in 39 minutes of play, Jackson showcased his skills and leadership on the court. This victory marked a significant achievement for Al Ittihad Alexandria, with Jackson's contributions proving instrumental in securing the win, further solidifying his status as a true champion. This season, his first with the team, Jackson has been delivering exceptional individual performances, averaging 17.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 6.0 assists (the second-best in the league), and 1.2 steals per game. His consistent high-level play has been a key factor in his team's success, highlighting his skill and determination as a finalist.
#2. Italian champion Andrea Lo Biondo, a 6'9'' forward aged 27, who previously played for the Warriors alumni in 2021 but had a stint at S. Idaho JC from 2018 to 2019 before turning pro in Italy, unfortunately could not lead Paperdi Caserta (28-8) to victory in their recent game last Friday. Despite the finalist Caserta Pap.'s (28-8) strong performance, they were narrowly defeated 92-89 on the road by the underdog Fabo Herons (#7) in Group B. Lo Biondo showcased his skills by achieving a double-double with 29 points and 11 rebounds, along with 3 steals, all in just 28 minutes of play. In the match against Fabo Herons, Lo Biondo displayed an exceptional performance, scoring an impressive 29 points, securing 11 rebounds, and providing 1 assist. Despite his outstanding contributions, his team fell short in securing the win. Lo Biondo's remarkable display earned him the prestigious Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com, highlighting his prowess as a champion on the basketball court. Throughout the season, Lo Biondo has maintained solid statistics with an average of 10.3 points per game, 7.8 rebounds per game, and 2.1 assists per game, further solidifying his reputation as a talented player.
#3. Jaysean Paige, a 6'2'' shooting guard who graduated from WVU in 2016 and had a stint at S.Idaho JC between 2012 and 2013, showcased his talent as a champion player in a recent Puerto Rican Baloncesto Superior Nacional game. Playing for Mets de Guaynabo, he was a major contributor in their narrow 88-87 victory against the fifth-ranked Osos. Paige's impressive performance included scoring 21 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, and dishing out 9 assists in 34 minutes on the court. His stellar play led his team to triumph, highlighting his skills as a finalist player. Paige's exceptional season is reflected in his statistics, averaging 15.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. Notably, he holds both American and Puerto Rican citizenship, allowing him to play in Puerto Rico as a domestic player.
#4. In a recent game in the Dominican Republic Liga Nacional de Baloncesto, the 41-year-old point guard Adris De Leon, a former Eagles alumnus from 2009 who also played at S.Idaho JC between 2006 and 2007, showcased his skills by leading Metros to a decisive 94-79 victory over the closely-ranked Caneros. De Leon, standing at 5'11'', was the standout player of the game and was rightfully awarded the MVP title for his stellar performance. He demonstrated his prowess on the court by scoring 17 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and providing 5 assists in just 21 minutes of play. The game between Metros de Santiago, currently holding the second position in the league with a record of 10-2, and Caneros was highly anticipated as it featured two top 4 ranked teams battling it out. With only four games remaining in the Regular Season, each game has now become crucial for all teams involved. De Leon's exceptional performance not only contributed to his team's victory but also solidified his reputation as a champion player on the court. Throughout the season, De Leon has maintained impressive statistics, averaging 10.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. His consistent contributions and leadership on the court have been instrumental in Metros' success, positioning him as a key player in the team's quest for the championship title.
#5. Isaiah Moses, a 6'1'' guard who is 24 years old and graduated from EWU in 2026, has had an impressive journey in basketball. Before playing professionally in Australia, he showcased his skills at S.Idaho JC between 2022 and 2023, where he played a crucial role in helping them secure the SWAC Regular Season Champion title during his time there. Recently, Moses faced a tough challenge when he couldn't lead the Perry Lakes Hawks to victory in their game last Friday. Despite his stellar performance, scoring 33 points and providing 6 assists flawlessly from the free-throw line, his team fell short to the Senators, who were ranked lower at #11 in the West group. The ninth-placed Perry Lakes Hawks suffered a defeat of 116-108 in Perth. In another game against Warwick S., Moses continued to shine, contributing significantly with 33 points, 2 rebounds, and 6 assists. His exceptional individual season is reflected in his impressive averages of 24.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. Despite his outstanding efforts, Moses has faced challenges in turning the tide for his team, but his remarkable skills and statistics make him a standout player in the league.
#6. Malik Porter, a 6'5'' forward aged 27, is a Bengals alumni from 2022 who previously played at South Idaho Junior College between 2017 and 2019. During his time at S. Idaho JC, he received the NJCAA D1 All-Americans Honorable Mention award. Currently, he is playing professionally in Portugal. In a recent game, Porter was unable to lead Esgueira to victory against Sporting, despite putting up a noteworthy performance. He managed to score 5 points, collect 9 rebounds, and provide 1 assist in 21 minutes of play. However, his team ended up losing 85-73. Throughout the season, Porter has maintained solid statistics, averaging 10.3 points per game, 7.6 rebounds per game (ranking as the third best in the league), 2.3 assists per game, 1.4 blocks per game (leading the league in this category), and 1.3 steals per game. His consistent performance on the court highlights his skills and contributions to his team, even though they were unable to secure a victory in the game against Sporting.
#7. South Sudanese player Deng Dut, who stands 6'4'' and is a 25-year-old guard, graduated from DBU in 2020. He previously played at South Idaho JC from 2019 to 2021, where he received the NJCAA D1 Region XVIII All-Tournament MVP award in his final year. Currently, Dut is playing professionally in Australia. In a recent game, Dut's team, Keilor Thunder, faced off against the Cobras, who are ranked higher in the South group. Despite Dut's stellar performance, scoring 20 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, and dishing out 8 assists in 28 minutes, Keilor Thunder, who are in seventh place, suffered a 99-88 defeat at the hands of the Cobras. Throughout the season, Dut has been a standout player, averaging 15.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. His consistent high-level performance has been noteworthy, despite the challenges his team has faced in securing victories.
#8. Canadian player David Walker, standing tall at 6'4'' and 26 years old, is a distinguished Bold alumnus from the class of 2024. Despite his time at South Idaho Junior College between 2018 and 2019, where he earned the NJCAA D1 All-Region 18 Honorable Mention award, Walker now shines as a professional basketball player in Canada. In a recent game, he led the Winnipeg Sea Bears to a decisive 108-96 victory over the Mamba in the Canadian Elite Basketball League. During the game, Walker showcased his exceptional skills by scoring 12 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, and dishing out 4 assists in just 27 minutes of play. His impressive performance was instrumental in securing the win for his team, ultimately crowning him the champion of the game. Throughout the season, Walker has maintained solid averages of 7.0 points per game, 2.5 rebounds per game, 3.5 assists per game, and 2.0 steals per game, solidifying his status as a key player for the Sea Bears.
#9. Eugene Artison, a 6'9'' power forward who is 30 years old and graduated from USAO in 2019, showcased his prowess on the basketball court during a recent game in The Basketball League. Despite having played in S.Idaho JC between 2015 and 2016, he now competes professionally in the TBL. In a dominant victory over the Hamilton County Huskers, Artison played a significant role, helping his team secure a resounding 147-87 win. During the game, he demonstrated his skills by scoring 9 points, grabbing 2 rebounds, and dishing out 2 assists in just 18 minutes of play. His contribution was instrumental in leading his team to success, highlighting his capabilities as a finalist. Throughout the season, Artison has maintained solid statistics, averaging 10.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. His consistent performance and determination on the court exemplify his status as a champion player in the league.
