Especially interesting is good performance of Austin Luke (32 points), Grayson Murphy (10 points), and Ian Clark (9 points).
#1. Austin Luke, a 6'3'' guard and 31-year-old Belmont graduate from 2018, currently plays professionally in Holland. In a recent match, despite his outstanding performance, he was unable to lead Groningen to victory as they were narrowly defeated 79-77 at home by the lower-ranked ZZ Leiden. Luke, the team's champion, showcased his skills by scoring 32 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, and providing 2 assists during the game. Even though he delivered an impressive performance, his team fell short of securing the win. Throughout the season, Luke has maintained exceptional individual statistics, leading the league with an average of 21.4 points per game and 8.4 assists per game. Additionally, he has averaged 4.4 rebounds per game and ranks fourth in the league with 1.6 steals per game. His consistent high-level performance marks him as a standout finalist in the league.
#2. Grayson Murphy, a 6'2'' guard and 27-year-old Bruins alumnus from 2022, currently plays professionally in Germany. Recently, he played a crucial role in Telekom Baskets Bonn's 66-63 victory over the s Oliver Baskets, a closely-ranked opponent with a record of 20-14, in the German easyCredit BBL. In this exciting game, Murphy showcased his skills as a champion by scoring 10 points, securing 4 rebounds, and providing 5 assists in just 22 minutes of play. Telekom Baskets Bonn, with a record of 21-13, currently holds the fourth position in the league standings. Murphy's consistent contributions on the court have been impressive throughout the season. Against Wuerzburg, he once again demonstrated his talent by scoring 10 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, and dishing out 5 assists, ultimately helping his team secure another victory. His exceptional performance highlights his capabilities as a finalist in the league. This season, Murphy has maintained strong averages of 9.7 points per game, 4.6 rebounds per game, and 6.2 assists per game, making him the fourth-best in the league in this category. Additionally, he leads the league in steals per game with an average of 1.7. With these remarkable statistics and his consistent impact on the court, Grayson Murphy continues to prove himself as a valuable champion in the German easyCredit BBL.
#3. Experienced champion Ian Clark, a 6'3'' guard/forward aged 35, who graduated from Belmont in 2013 and received the All-OVC Co-Player of the Year award that year, currently plays professionally in Puerto Rico. In a thrilling match last Saturday, Clark played a pivotal role in Cangrejeros de Santurce's 95-92 victory over the league-leading Atleticos (15-9) with his impressive performance. He contributed 9 points and 3 assists in just 21 minutes of play, showcasing his skill and experience on the court. Cangrejeros de Santurce, currently placed fifth in Group B with an 11-12 record, secured their fifth consecutive win, thanks in part to Clark's stellar play. In a recent game against San German, he displayed his talents by scoring 9 points, grabbing 1 rebound, and providing 3 assists, ultimately leading his team to another victory. His consistent and valuable contributions have undoubtedly played a key role in his team's recent success, further solidifying his reputation as a finalist. Throughout the season, Clark has maintained strong statistics, averaging 13.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game in the five games he has played so far. His performance on the court continues to impress fans and critics alike, demonstrating his enduring skills and determination as a seasoned champion.
#4. Nick Muszynski, a 27-year-old center standing at 6'11'' and an alum of the Bruins from 2022, was recognized as a Lou Henson National Player of the Year Award Finalist in that same year. Currently playing professionally in Belgium, Muszynski recently played for Hubo Limburg United against the Antwerp Giants but couldn't lead his team to victory. In a match where he played for 11 minutes, Muszynski contributed 6 points. Despite his efforts, Hubo Limburg United lost to the Antwerp Giants with a score of 79-91 on the road, with this being Muszynski's first season with the team. In the game against the Antwerp Giants, Muszynski displayed a commendable performance by scoring 6 points and providing 2 assists. Nevertheless, his team was unable to secure a win. Throughout this season, Muszynski has been averaging 5.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game over seven games.
#5. Carter Whitt, a 6'3'' guard who graduated from Belmont in 2025 and earned an All-MVC Third Team award that same year, is currently playing professionally in New Zealand. In a recent game for the Franklin Bulls, Whitt showcased his skills despite the team's loss to the Tuatara in Auckland. Despite the Bulls' defeat with a score of 107-72, Whitt emerged as the second-highest scorer, contributing 14 points along with 3 rebounds and an impressive 8 assists in 35 minutes of play. This performance is particularly noteworthy as it is Whitt's first season in professional basketball. Throughout the season, Whitt has maintained high statistics, showcasing his prowess on the court. He boasts an average of 17.7 points per game, 4.6 rebounds per game, and an impressive 10.5 assists per game, leading the league in assists. Additionally, Whitt has demonstrated his defensive capabilities with 2.4 steals per game, ranking fourth in the league in this category. Despite the team's challenges, Whitt's individual performance has been consistently strong, establishing him as a standout player in the league.
